“The practice of democracy is not transferred through the gene pool. It must be taught and learned anew by each generation of citizens” –Justice Sandra Day O’Connor

"For this nation to remain true to its principles, we cannot allow any American's vote to be denied, diluted, or defiled. The right to vote is the crown jewel of American liberties, and we will not see its luster diminished." -- Ronald Reagan

A discussion at Hamline University, sponsored by Common Cause MN and Clean Elections MN, focussed on the the problem of drawing political distract boundaries fairly.

Legislative Task Force

Clean Elections MN has an active action group that is involved in legislative sessions. This group has been effective and is seeking to expand. The task force attends legislative hearings, presents testimony, calls and e-mails legislators and the Governor, and coordinates with allies such as Common Cause and the Minnesota League of Women Voters.

MnCCE is a new 501 (c) (3) non-partisan non-profit. Your tax deductible contribution will enable us to build our grass roots organization, support relevant speakers and permit us to continue our work to control the influence of money in our elections. A check can be sent to our Treasurer; the first $25 is considered to be annual dues. We do not presently employ staff – we are a grassroots organization and we rely on volunteers.

You can become a dues paying member by sending a check made out to MnCCE (Minnesota Citizens for Clean Elections) for $25 to our Treasurer:
