March 2 Panel on Election Law Reforms
March 2 2021, 7 pm CST: Clean Elections Minnesota is sponsoring a Zoom panel discussion with Senator Jim Carlson and Representative Emma Greenman. Senator Carlson is leading the fight in the state Senate against efforts to use photo id requirements to suppress voting by Minnesotans, while Representative Greenman is chief sponsor of a state House bill to increase voting access and require more disclosure of large donors. They will discuss the proposals’ merits and flaws and what citizens can do to be involved. Common Cause Minnesota and RepresentUS Minnesota are co-sponsoring the event.
George Beck, Clean Elections Minnesota chair, says “Our goal is to engage more Minnesotans on reforming campaigns. This panel discussion will be a great opportunity to learn what you can do to help pass good laws and stop bad ones.”
